It is always such an honor when families hire me again! I love getting to know families and clients over time so when I you reach out to hire me as your photographer to capture your special moments again, it feels so special!
Laura contacted me last year when her second daughter, Alyssa, became engaged. I had photographed Laura’s older daughter’s wedding 18 months prior. Kendall and Alyssa’s marriage ceremony was held at the same church as Andrew and Kayla’s in July 2022. The two ceremonies were very different though—summer vs. winter, daytime vs. evening, and different color schemes. Both were so beautiful and I loved capturing both weddings!
Kendall is in the Navy and stationed in Hawaii so he and Alyssa will be living on the Big Island for a few years. They are so in love and their wedding day was chilly outside, but so perfect! Their ceremony was at 5pm so the church was filled with candles and twinkly lights. Alyssa’s dress had a big train and she looked like Cinderella. Kayla and Alyssa’s grandfather married both of them so that was a memorable detail as well.
Their reception was simple and beautiful down in the church basement. It was candlelit and they served sandwiches, fruit, chips, and cake. When they left that evening, the guests threw biodegradable paper that looked like snow. It was perfect for a January wedding in Colorado! They drove off in Alyssa’s grandfather’s 1933 Pontiac black car.
I am thankful to my second shooter, Kim Morgan, for always getting different angles and helping me with anything I need. Her knowledge of flash was critical to the dark exit and I love the different images we captured of Kendall and Alyssa’s special day!
