I have been a contributing photographer for Ken Caryl Living magazine for the last couple of months.  The magazine publisher of Best Version Media, Marina Bach, contacted me at the beginning of the year to see if I would be interested.  Basically, I meet with families or businesses that live in the Ken Caryl, Colorado area and take a few photos for the magazine.  The content coordinator, Shannon Frances, then writes up an article highlighting the focus family or business and adds some of the photos I took (along with personal snapshots that the family/business provides).  This is a non-paying gig, but I do get a free ad in the magazine with my website and my name on the cover as the photographer.

Last month I met with Chris and Konnar McKinney and their adorable family.  They live in the valley so we met at one of the neighborhood parks.  There are red rock formations at this park, along with pretty views of the Colorado foothills.  We met on a windy, cooler evening, but the kids (and new puppy) did great for the 20 minute mini session.

This month I am meeting with co-workers, Brian Tiell and Chris Sullivan.  They raise funds and awareness for kidney donations.  I am excited to meet with them and hear more!  I am also looking forward to meeting with a mental health specialist and her family next month.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to continue offering this service into the summer and fall as my paying client load will grow too much to squeeze in these 15-20 minute free mini sessions, but I am grateful for the months that I was able to meet these amazing families, businesses, and entrepreneurs.
