It was great to see this sweet family again for extended family photos! Since some of them live in Colorado Springs and some live up north in Highlands Ranch, we met in the middle in Castle Rock. I had heard that Dawson Butte Open Space is a great spot for photos so we met there on a snowy, chilly afternoon. It is really beautiful and I hope to go there again sometime for photos. There was a lot of snow on the path so we didn’t venture too far from the parking lot for these images, but another photographer told me that it is great in the summer too, with a view of the butte.
The kids did great, despite the cold, and I love these photos we captured a couple weeks ago! Cory and Katie’s youngest daughter, Sunaina, was tired and cold so she wasn’t her normal smiley self, but even the photos where she is crying are kind of cute. At the end, Julie wanted me to get one more pic of all of the big kid cousins wrapped in their blankets since that is what they looked like in between each photo—ha!
