With all of the crazy weather that we have had in Colorado lately, this senior photo session almost didn’t happen. Madeline’s mom and I were texting all afternoon and decided to meet an hour earlier than planned to squeeze in Madeline’s session before the rain came in and it worked perfectly. We could see dark skies and lightening in the background as we wrapped up our time.
Madeline is a senior at Heritage High School. She plays tennis and also plays saxophone in the band. She is a lovely teenager and it was great to see her again. I had met her and her parents when I took her older sister’s senior photos a couple years ago. Regan’s pictures were done at Roxborough State park. Madeline really liked the look of the red rocks there but wanted something slightly different so we met at South Valley park in Ken Caryl Valley instead. South Valley has the red rock formations that Roxborough has, but also includes water, tall grasses, a boardwalk, and a few sunflowers.
Madeline is still thinking about what she wants to do after graduation next year, but is leaning towards studying environmental science. Regan attends University of Colorado in Boulder and Madeline might join her big sister there as well.
Enjoy these fun images of Madeline. Fun fact—the red dress that Madeline is wearing was her mom’s dress from college. Kathleen told me that it was a clearance dress from the GAP that she bought in the 1990’s. Isn’t that cool?!
