Join me as I capture a family farm photography session in Lakewood, blending creativity and beautiful moments at Yetman Farms.
I have been a professional photographer for almost 14 years now, but I strive to continue to grow in my craft. Recently I heard about an opportunity to join a handful of other photographers for a “shootalong” at a local farm. We met for two hours with a sweet family of three at Yetman Family Farms in Lakewood, Colorado.
Leah Blanche was the photographer that organized our event. She has photographed at Yetman Farm in the past and had a vision of photographing a family in a styled way while letting other photographers learn from each other. The other photographers and I experimented with lighting and intentional blurry photos. There was a lot of movement and play happening. We guided Cody, Jordan, and Daxton into various scenarios on the property. Cody and Dax play guitar so we incorporated their instruments. They fed the horse, wandered around the farm, and ate fresh produce. At one point, a rain shower rolled in, but thankfully there is a glass greenhouse on the property, so we were able to use that and get out of the rain for a few minutes.
If you are interested in a session similar to this one, I am partnering with another farm near Chatfield State Park for some mini sessions in early August. Stay tuned!
