Seth and Kyla are such a kind, fun, sweet couple! I loved capturing their wedding day at the end of June! There was a chance for rain, but it held off and they had a beautiful day surrounded by loved ones.
Seth and Kyla were at Kendall and Alyssa’s wedding in January. They saw me with my 2nd shooter, Kim, photographing that wedding. Kyla’s mom, Amy, contacted me and hired me to photograph her daughter’s June wedding.
The ceremony and reception were held at Tri-Baptist Church in Westminster. Kyla did a “first look” with her dad, which I loved and it was so special! Then, her and Seth did a “first touch” and held hands with their eyes closed. They prayed together before the ceremony started. It was sweet and made Seth seeing Kyla walk down the aisle for the first time very moving.
Kyla’s grandfather married her and Seth in a funny, yet touching, ceremony. The reception was held in the gymnasium at the church and they did an amazing job of transforming the gym into a twinkly, cozy room. They had various cakes, punch, and nuts for their guests to munch on and then they did a “tunnel” exit outside. Everyone lined up to make a human tunnel and threw streamers at Seth and Kyla. It was actually really hilarious because the new bride and groom got caught up in a big web of streamers and had a hard time breaking free. Ha!
Right before sunset (and as dark storm clouds were rolling in), we drove over to Standley Lake for some bride and groom images with the Colorado foothills in the background. Kyla really wanted a few creative and intentionally blurry images so Kim and I had fun using prisms and incorporating different creative images to their gallery. Kyla also had an epic, long bridal veil so we did some fun veil shots too.
