Reese was good friends with my daughter, Grace, in preschool and I have taken photos for her family for several years. Reese goes to Front Range Christian school and is excited for her senior year. She hopes to study sports medicine at college next year.
We were going to meet at Lair O’ the Bear for her photos, but since it was a Saturday morning, the parking lot was full with hikers and bikers. I arrived at the park just before 8am and found the last spot, but there were no other parking spots left for Reese and her mom, Melody, when they arrived so we pivoted and met somewhere else. We drove down the hill a bit and went to Morrison Park near Red Rocks. I have been wanting to shoot there for a while so I’m glad it worked out. It is a small park along the river with a bridge, rocks, and big trees. The light was pretty and with all of the big cottonwood trees, I think it will be gorgeous in the fall.
Reese is so sweet and kind, but she has never loved getting her photo taken. Thankfully, she was a good sport and put up with some of my cheesiness. We wandered along the trail and found some great spots for her photos. She did great, but was done with her session after about 45 minutes. I think we still got a lot of great shots, though!
