Meet my first Dakota Ridge High School senior—-Karis! My husband has taught at Dakota Ridge for 15 years and I have been a photographer for 8 of those. I have done some family sessions for his co-workers, but for some reason I have never photographed any high school seniors from his school (despite him passing out my card one year to upcoming seniors). So, I was excited to meet Karis and her family for her senior portrait session last week. We met in the Ken Caryl Valley and at South Valley Open Space park. Karis wanted fall color and red rock formations so I’m glad I was able to provide her with both!
Karis hopes to become a Medical Examiner and be a coroner. She likes the color black, art, dead bodies, and horror movies! I LOVE 80’s slasher films so we had some fun conversations about our favorites. 🙂 She is also a volleyball player at her school.
Kyla, Karis’s younger sister, knows how to make her laugh so I love the natural smiles we got in her photos along with some more serious looks.
