I am not a morning person and I love my sleep, but I was very excited to do my first sunrise photo session a couple weeks ago! I met Ayden up at Mt. Falcon park at 6:20am (oy!) and we were just two of three people in the parking lot. Ha! We hiked around to get some great shots as the sun was rising in the sky. At about 6:45 it was gorgeous, glowing light. Then, we drove down the hill into Morrison for some more urban shots.
Ayden was so easy to talk to. We chatted about photography, movies, all of the musical instruments he plays, COVID, etc. He has a lot of interests and isn’t really sure what he wants to study in college, but he is smart and engaging so I’m sure he will go far in whatever area he studies.
I really enjoyed this sunrise session and have a couple more booked now! It might be hard for senior girls to get up and get ready this early, but I think it is a great option for boys (or families that are early risers). Ayden and I were finished by around 8:15am and had the rest of the day to get things done. It was so peaceful being up that early. Plus, a short cat-nap in the afternoon was a great way for me to re-charge! 🙂
