I met Maddie when she was probably around 7 or 8 years old. Her mom has cut my hair for around 15 years and her aunt used to work at my dentist’s office so I have known her family for a long time. I was SOOOOO excited when she contacted me to photograph her wedding to Garrett this fall. Her and Garrett are absolutely perfect for one another and are so sweet together!
Last weekend we met on a gorgeous evening for engagement photos at the Lakewood Heritage Center and Belmar Park. We couldn’t have asked for prettier light or a more beautiful night!
Garrett and Maddie were a bit nervous about feeling awkward in front of the camera, but I told them that we all feel somewhat awkward in front of a camera—-ha! Once I helped them with some basic poses and gave them things to do, they warmed up and were GREAT! I seriously love every single image from this session so it was hard to narrow it down, but here is a preview of some of my favorites of these two lovebirds! 🙂
